Description
"Beneath a Summer Sky: Watercolors by Carol Carter," is now open! Inspired by personal experiences and current events, the artist uses the human figure and nature as recurring themes. The resulting images can have intensity or tension and be seductive, powerful, and sometimes strangely disquieting. The exhibit runs through July 28 and includes an artist reception Thursday, June 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. There will be live music at the reception, and Carter will give a gallery talk at the reception at 6:15 pm. The exhibit, reception, and lecture are free and open to the public. Summer gallery hours are Monday - Wednesday, 10 am - 5 pm, and Thursday, 10 am - 7 pm.
