Cunningham's Be a Hero 5K Run/Walk

You can be a hero in the eyes of Cunningham kids! Join us for Cunningham Children’s Home Be a Hero 5K! Whether you move like “The Flash” or at “ Hulk” speed, the Be a Hero 5K is open to runners and walkers of all skill levels. Race registration is $25 and includes a race t-shirt. Do you own too many t-shirts? You can also opt out of the race t-shirt and instead donate the funds back to Cunningham ($5). Where do the funds go? All funds raised through the Be a Hero 5K help to meet the critical needs of the 777 youth, individuals and families served by Cunningham. Young people are referred to Cunningham for many reasons, including a history of abuse, neglect, trauma, and mental health issues. Many have experienced rejection and loss. Cunningham offers opportunities for healing and hope across our three areas of services – residential treatment, special education and community-based services. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners in the following age groups: under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over. Awards will also be presented to the top three individual fundraisers.
