Young Artist's Studio: Capoeira Angola for Kids!

Come learn the Afro-Brazilian dance martial art, Capoeira Angola! Join us for the next installment of our Young Artist’s Studio with local artist Aisha Chiaramonte of the Capoeira Angola Center of Mestre João Grande-Illinois, who will introduce our young participants to the art of capoeira! We'll explore techniques in movement and the practice's cultural roots. The Young Artist's Studio is a series of art workshops sponsored by The Urbana Free Library and The Urbana Arts & Culture Program designed to offer youth an opportunity to explore the arts. All events in the series are free and open to the public. The series is designed for children ages 5 to 11 (7 and under with a caregiver). Dress comfortably!
